Needle Felting Circle

10 A.M. – 3 P.M.Bring needle felting project or idea, tools, supplies and bag lunch


Private and group classes are offered by The Hill Art.

Private lessons: Contact Nita Reynolds at 434-665-2632 for information. Classes can be set up for Spinning, Needle Felting, and China Painting.

Group lessons: The Hill Art will offer group lessons (3-5 people) in Needle Felting and China Painting. Also if a group of at least 3 is interested in a class as a special activity this can scheduled.

The lessons at this time will be introductory lessons to allow the student to become acquainted and see if the art is something they would enjoy doing before investing in Supplies, tools needed for needle felting or china painting. All of which Nita stocks or can supply from studio/shop.


Introductory Needle Felting – The classes offered will be on
2 dimensional or 3 dimensional needle felting. 2D needle felting. is used for decorative items or embellishing clothing. 3D is for dolls, animals and flowers. Needle felting is amazingly unlimited.

Introductory China Painting – The project Pansies. The Pansy takes every brush stroke to paint so is an excellent study for an beginner. All supplies will be furnished. 3 session over 3 days class. (Kiln firing of piece required between Sessions).

1 to 4 P.M. $103.00


Tours and Programs


Families, school field trips, home school groups are welcome to schedule a tour of the historic Webber Farm or a demonstration of survival craft skills. Customize for your class. Will include some hands-on activities. Ron and Nita will be happy to plan something special for you. All can be adjusted for ages 3 to adult.

Historical Tour of The Webber Farm: is an hour long walking tour of the 19th century farmhouse with social and cultural interpretation of the time. (See About The Hill Art).

Meet The Hill Art Animals: is a chance to see, feed, and pet all the beautiful animals of Webber Farm including our Great Pyrenees guard dogs, Angora goats, sheep and horses.

Cost for Kids’ groups $1.00 to $3.00 depending on size and activity planned. Accompanying adults are FREE. For more information call Nita at 434-665-2632.


Programs and Craft Experiences:

Processing wool for use from shearing to spinning. Includes Discussion and hands on activities. Nita uses both antique equipment as well those used today.

Scrapbooking Through Quilting can be a guild, library or museum presentation or adapted as
group presentation on a visit to the Webber Farmhouse and the Hill Art studio/shop.
